Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,
We take immense pride in our identity as the children of the Salua Mia Bari (Salua Mia Household). Our ancestors lived together in harmony, collectively undertaking and accomplishing all significant family and community endeavors.
Upholding mutual counsel, cooperation, and a profound sense of brotherhood, they established numerous benevolent institutions—such as schools, Madrasas, Hafizkhanas, Eidgah grounds, the Gonkhali Bridge, hospitals, the Union Parishad premises (established on their own land), primary schools, and more. These contributions continue to define our identity to this very day.
With the passage of time, those individuals have departed from this world; yet, the legacy of their deeds remains ever-present. We are the custodians and torchbearers of that very tradition. In the district of Kishoreganj, “Salua Mia Bari” stands as a name of great heritage and honor—a distinction established solely through the contributions of our forefathers.
Regrettably, however, beginning with the third generation, the bonds of mutual acquaintance and communication among us have significantly diminished. Many of us no longer know one another well.
It is our earnest desire that we—along with our future generations—reunite once again, get to know one another, strengthen our relationships, and preserve the cherished heritage of this household.
To achieve this objective, each of us must contribute from our respective positions. No single individual can shoulder this responsibility alone; rather, our collective strength lies in the sincere participation of every single member.
In the Holy Quran, Allah the Almighty states:
“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah, all of you together, and do not become divided.”
— (Surah Al-Imran: 103)
“And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and [fear] the wombs (kinship ties).”
— (Surah An-Nisa: 1)
The Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Whoever maintains the ties of kinship, Allah increases his sustenance.”
— (Sahih Bukhari)
Therefore, for us, preserving unity and the bonds of kinship is not merely a familial obligation; it is, in fact, an act of worship.
We request everyone to discuss this matter within their respective immediate families and share their views. This is not a task for any single family alone; rather, it is through our collective efforts that we can keep our beloved Salua Mia Bari united and well-organized. Let us all join hands to preserve our heritage and forge a beautiful bond for future generations.
With thanks,
The Conscientious Members of Salua Mia Bari
